A symbol of majesty, grace and enlightenment, the lotus is considered sacred in many cultures and the National Flower of India. Its intensely floral, warm and long lasting odour has a peculiar waxy-herbaceous oily-fruity undertone. In Egyptian mythology, it is even believed to have given birth to the sun because its petals bloom by day and close by night.
